Launching a former Rockette beyond the local barre to the national spotlight
Dancers Shape Founder and former Rockette Jennifer McCamish utilizes her vast professional experience and training to incorporate elements of Pilates, ballet, yoga, and circuit training into a unique method to help clients efficiently achieve their optimal goals in the effective total body workout.
Cultivate starting working with Dancers Shape in 2012, promoting new and existing classes, special events, and leveraging McCamish’s experience as an expert in the fields of fitness and entrepreneurship. During the spring of 2013, a small group of former UT football players currently in the NFL began attending classes at the studio. As a result of their consistent attendance and unique athletic needs, she created a special conditioning class that fused the essential elements focusing specifically on exercises that prevent injury, promote rehabilitation and strengthen the deep stabilizer muscles.
We secured extensive coverage in local outlets such as The Austin American-Statesman and Austin Fit, as well as national outlets like Men’s Journal, ESPN.com, Men’s Health, Yahoo Sports, and more. This coverage helped shape the perception of the studio, demonstrating that the professional football players considered the classes beneficial as well as challenging, and dispelling the stereotype that barre is just for women.
Over the past four years, we’ve been able to secure a number of notable national, regional and local press placements featuring McCamish as an expert, including Livestrong.com, Vogue, Fit Pregnancy, Shape.com, The Knot, Huffington Post, SheKnows.com, Women’s Fitness, Total Beauty, Camille Styles, Austin Way, Austin Monthly, and more.
