Introducing a one-of-a-kind store to a foodie city
Called “a feast for the senses” by a local arts and culture magazine, Kettle & Brine fuses food and home goods in a way that appeals to gourmands and design enthusiasts alike. The brand’s spirit is best captured by its name; the kettle represents the utilitarian accessories, while the brine stands for the extra little efforts that go a long way into making a meal great.
Austin’s rapid growth and ever-evolving culinary scene meant there was an increased demand for high-design kitchen and entertaining goods. While national brands like Sur la Table and Crate & Barrel had established a presence in the capital city, their locations were out of the way and their selection lacked sophistication.
We launched this heirloom-quality kitchen and home goods retailer with a creative mix of influencer events, grassroots marketing and strategic media relations, quickly establishing Kettle & Brine as an industry leader. We secured extensive media coverage for the store, including features in Domino, Food & Wine, Lonny, Veranda, Wallpaper, and Better Homes & Gardens, in addition to coverage in all of the region’s lifestyle media outlets. Online, the brand’s Instagram following was in the thousands before its first anniversary, and online sales continue to surpass monthly goals.
